IT - Kano è un progetto disco nato a Milano nel 1979 dai produttori e musicisti Luciano Ninzatti e Stefano Pulga.

Il singolo di debutto di Kano, nel 1980, fu la Hit I'm Ready che combinava elementi di disco, funk e R&B insieme all'uso di synthetizzatori, claps e voci lavorate con il vocoder. L'album di debutto, intitolato Kano stesso, contiene i brani, It's a war, Ahjia, Now Baby Now, e la strumentale di Cosmic Voyager. I'm Ready raggiunse la 21° posizione nella classifica dei singoli black negli Stati Uniti mentre It's a War e Ahjia hanno a loro volta, raggiunto la seconda posizione per cinque settimane, nella classifica Hot Dance music/Club Party, sempre negli States. Now Baby Now scalò le classifiche e in Italia raggiunse il terzo posto. Il progetto continuò con due nuovi album. Nel 1981 New York Cake che includeva le hit She's a Star, Don't Try to Stop Me e Can't Hold Back e nel 1983 Another Life che includeva il brano I Need Love. Another Life raggiunse la 23° nella classifica italiana e la 10° posizione in quella tedesca e l'8° in quella svizzera.

I'm Ready è stata usata per diversi campionamenti in molti brani. Tra questi: Hokie Pokie di Gigolo Tony nel 1986, Flashlight in a Disconight di Rofo nel 1987. Il più celebre campionamento di questo brano è nella hit Whoomp di Tag Team nel 1993. Now Baby Now è stata campionata da Felix Da Housecat per il suo brano, Glitz Rock che appare nel 2001 nel suo album Kittenz and Thee Glitz. C'è anche un remix di Another Life fatto da Master Blaster ospitata nel suo album We Love Italo Disco. Un altro campionamento di Another Life esce nel 2005 con il brano Discopolis di Lifelike & Kris Menace. Ikeya Seki è stata campionata dal francese Kavinsky per la sua traccia Grand Canyon che appare nel suo Ep, 1986. Il rapper finnico, Nyg-rd ha campionato Ahjia nel suo brano Kotibileet uscita nel 2009. Un arpeggio di Another Life è stato usato dall'inglese Nero per il suo singolo Reaching Out uscito nel 2011.

I'm Ready è stato usata anche nella trasmissione televisiva di grande successo TV PIXxxx su canale WPIX-TV Channel 11 di New York City. Dopo una pausa durata vent'anni, il nome KANO ritorna a partire dal 2005 con alcune produzioni legate al filone electro-dance, pubblicate sulla loro storica etichetta FULLTIME.

Kano is popular as a pioneer of the music genre that after Kano was called Italo Disco. This is a mix between disco and funky with touch of synth.

On 1980 the revolutionary sound of Kano debut is on the radio and in the club with the single I'm ready taken from the same name Album which was also containing singles like It's a was and Cosmic Voyager.

I'm ready was not only the beginning of Italo Disco but also a starting point for Hip Hop because that track became a classic for breakdance getting the number 21 of the black single chart in US.

Starting from second album New York Cake, singer Glen White was singing all vocals. In the 1983 Another Life single got popularity in Swiss and Germany too. After that they published the last single, Queen of Witches tracks also included in the greatest hits of 1984.

After a break of twenty years Kano is back in the 2005 with some releases of electro dance. They are published again on FULL TIME their label of ever.
