Bio

Cantante, compositrice, autrice e donna di spettacolo, Wendy Lewis non è una straniera dello stage. Nata negli Stati Uniti, nella provincia della città del blues, gospel e house, Wendy, è cresciuta respirando la musica di Chicago. Dal jazz club all'Orchestra Hall, ha una conoscenza della musica immensa, spaziando dal blues, alla lirica, al musical e tutta la musica americana. Con una voce elegante, calda e senza limiti, esprime le sue speranze e la sua anima. Ha frequentato la scuola di musica più importante in America, la Juilliard School of New York, studiando con Joyce Mclean and Dodi Protero. Dopo qualche anno di studio decide di lasciare l?America per allargare la propria carriera all?estero, diventando in breve tempo un artista di calibro internazionale, con un seguito in Italia, Francia, Grecia, Germania, Svizzera, Ungheria e Nord America.

Nei festivali jazz internazionali, ha condiviso il palco con artisti storici come Earth Wind and Fire, Al Jarreau, Maceo Parker, Dianne Reeves, Herbie Goins, Tuck and Patty e Herbie Hancock. E? co compositrice e cantante principale del gruppo italiano Jestofunk,sul loro nuovo CD Seventy Miles From Philadelphia.
In Italia ha collaborato con Ivana Spagna, Nek, Irene Grandi, Raf, Alexia e come solista con Mike Francio, nel gruppo Mystic Diversions.

Wendy farà il suo debutto cinematografico nel prossimo film diretto e interpretato di Carlo Verdone,Il Mio Miglior Nemico, che esce a Febbraio 2006.

Singer,composer,and actress,Wendy Lewis is no stranger to the stage.Born in the United States,in the outskirts of the city of blues,gospel and house,Wendy was raised on the music of Chicago.From the jazz club to orchestra hall,Wendy has an immense knowledge of music, ranging from blues to opera,from musicals to folk,and all american music.

She attended one of the most important music schools in America,the Juilliard School of Music,studying with Joyce Mclean and Dodi Protero.After some years of study,she decided to enlarge her career by going abroad,becoming in a short amount of time an artist of international renown,with a following in Italy, Switzerland,Austria,Germany,Hungary,Spain,Greece,and England.

In international jazz festivals,Wendy has shared the stage with musical giants such as,Earth Wind and Fire,Al Jarreau,Maceo Parker,Dianne Reeves,Herbie Goins,Tuck and Patty, and Herbie Hancock.
She is the principal singer of the italian band Jestofunk,and co-composer of many tracks on their cd,"Seventy Miles From Philadelphia"
She has collaborated with and is principal singer of the jazz group "Goth'm" of John Arnold(grandson of the historical composer Hoagy Carmicheal,composer of "Georgia On My Mind").
In Italy she has collaborated with Ivana Spagna,Nek,Irene Grandi,Raf,Alexia,and is principal singer of the group Mystic Diversions,produced by Mike Francis.

She was chosen to sing in a concert for Pope Ratzinger in Bari,Italy,May 2005.
Wendy will soon make her cinematic debut in the latest film directed by and starring Carlo Verdone,"Il Mio Miglior Nemico",to be released in February 2006.

Wendy is now completing her very own cd which will reflect her musical diversity,with compostions spanning from blues to house.The cd will also feature other illustrious artists and will be released in 2006.
